rOtring rapidograph.
Originally from Germany, rOtring was founded in 1928. I use the 0.13 and 0.5 mm rapidograph the most. The pens must be used daily otherwise they dry out – I sometimes call them my Tamagotchi ‘every day attention’. I tried many other pens because rOtring pens are a ‘pain in the ass’ in use, but nothing gives the deep black of a rapidograph rOtring pen.

Canson XL Bristol-paper.
The thousands of dots on a square inch give depth and life to the works with always stunning results. Almost all of my artworks have been created using this method of drawing.
In addition to the rOtring pen, the paper is crucial. I use Canson XL Bristol paper with silk lustre. This paper is ultra white and very smooth. Because of the silk-gloss finish, the ink does not stay on the paper so I can continue drawing and do not have to wait for the ink to dry.
Nestler industrial drawing table.
My pride: I make all the drawings on an antique Nestler industrial drawing table from the 1920s, which comes from the Apeldoornse Nettenfabriek.
